Gisburn Forest MTB Centre
Gisburn Forest is the largest forest in Lancashire. Located between
Slaidburn
and
Tosside
in the Ribble Valley it offers magnificent views of
Stocks Reservoir
and the 3 Peaks area of North Yorkshire. The
Forestry Commission
, partnership with local volunteers, the Forest of Bowland AONB,
Ribble Vallley Borough Council
,
Ribble Valley Strategic Partnership
and United Utilities have been investing time and money to create some excellent forest-based mountain bike trails to complement the excellent walking already available.
There are 8 kilometres of 'easy' blue routes for families and beginners and 22 kilometres of 'red' for experienced and expert mountain bikers.
